In this episode, the hosts catch up on their recent gaming experiences, diving into the nuances of the demo for "Delta Force" on Steam, which they compare to classic games like "Battlefield" and "Medal of Honor." They discuss the dynamics and modes available in current extraction shooters, such as the similarities and differences between Call of Duty's DMZ and games like Tarkov. The conversation shifts to the potential future of gaming with augmented reality and virtual reality devices, such as Apple's Vision Pro. They also debate the performance and appeal of various firearms, including the FN SCAR and its new 300 blackout version, and exchange thoughts on the latest gun news. The episode wraps up with discussions on car speeds, specifically the new Corvette ZR1, and the potential of augmented reality in everyday life, like customizing your home or car.

Speaker 1:

Anything new? How you guys been?

Speaker 2:

Oh, been okay.

Speaker 3:

How about you Aaron? Not too bad. Can't complain, you know, living the dream. What you guys been playing lately? Anything new?

Speaker 2:

um me and Aaron actually have just been playing

Speaker 3:

Delta Force. It's a game demo on Steam and it's... Basically Battlefield. I mean it's another spin-off of Battlefield. I wouldn't say kind of like battle bits like but realistic. So do you guys remember the old Medal of Honor game? Yeah. Yeah. So it's basically like that Battlefield style.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so it's still pretty heavily campaigned right now.

Speaker 3:

They do have a campaign but it's not out. Storyline? Okay. Well, right, with it being a demo. So is it more just kinda like ground war style big... Chaos pretty much or okay. Yeah, so they they have two modes right now

Speaker 2:

And the first mode is your standard

Speaker 3:

I believe they called it rush in battlefield where you would yeah, you know, you have your attackers like push the line Yeah, you push the line and it progresses down the map and then they also have a basically like Call of Duty's DMZ. I don't wanna say a Battle Royale, it's a Shraction Shooter is what it is. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You know me, I'm not really huge into the life of the game. Warzone and battle royale games, but you're up against real people, you know. But I don't know what it is about it, it just plays real.

Speaker 1:

It's like I liked I liked what? Call duties idea was but it just there it was no point or purpose to the gate to the games of DMZ like you got to extract and earn some stuff, but you didn't get to pull it into an inventory like you do with Tarkov and That type of extraction shooter. There's purpose to each run. You know you're going into loot stuff pull it back out and either sell it

Speaker 3:

use it yeah they don't the big reason behind DMZ I think an easier way for people to level up weapons.

Speaker 1:

'Cause all that- I thought it was kind of just them hopping on the hype train, because at the same time Tarkov was going nuts. That's true. Like, people were- it. I think that I think it was their attempt at it out of an extraction shooter and it didn't go super well. But at the same time, like you said, it was great for some people to level up. Some people like that big map warfare and they like call of duty, but they don't like war zone. And that's that's how I get that. That's how it was.

Speaker 3:

Like, I, don't get me wrong. - People played plunder. - Exactly. Yeah, people played plunder. was the easiest mode to play for war zone. And they made plunder that's all they play. What? Yeah. Yeah. I mean I was a big DNC fan. player, just because I like the the PVE aspect of it and the the lootables, the collectibles within the actual. itself. You know, like you said, yeah, you didn't really have anything that you could use outside of it. But I just liked it because the little easter eggs and stuff.

Speaker 1:

too. Yeah. And it was cool how they did it, you know, with being able to bring a custom weapon in and use it or just use, like you could pick up weapons and gear and take it out. Like self res is and gas masks and all of that. If you picked it up on your run and ex filled, you kept that stuff on your next run. So that was cool. But you couldn't like pull multiple gas masks out and store them. You know, but it was still a fun game overall. And another perk to it was if somebody had the battle pass gun and you didn't own the battle pass, they could drop it to you in DMZ and when you exfil with it, you unlock it without doing any of the achievements or buying the battle pass or anything like that. of an easy way to get weapons unlocked if you didn't want to go through all the challenges. Yeah. And one of your friends had it.

Speaker 3:

the M-13 that they brought back, but it was only in a certain spot of DMZ that you could get it. So, if you're interested, please check it out. already extracted it then oh well I'm just going to join your lobby and you can try it. it too. That's pretty much how I got it. I don't even remember who dropped it. I think it might have been me. I think you and I did it. I remember there being a bug in one of their missions, and you could go in there and loop the game over and over and over and get like...

Speaker 1:

In. From like Level 1 to Max in like 20 minutes. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

This glitch. And it went on for like...(swoosh) Yeah, that's wild. I didn't do that one. about it. Black Ops 6 will be out. No thanks. Yeah. Yeah, I'll pass on.

Speaker 1:

Luckily you don't have to buy them anymore. They're on Game Pass now.

Speaker 3:

and all that yeah zombies man that's the only thing I really about it and I mean the last couple zombies renditions have been pretty poor so yeah very true we'll see how this one is if they ever figure it supposed to be a bit better but they could easily just sell the zombies mode for $20 and people would buy it in all honestly they would

Speaker 1:

zombies I mean that's where I think that's why we're seeing it on game pass now yeah just like the the Developers get paid per play. So it's not just listing it on there. Every time somebody plays their game, they get paid like a few cents. Well, it adds up pretty quick when you keep your game on game pass for years and, you know, think about Pal World, man. Yeah. How quick that game blew up, like overnight.

Speaker 3:

It was actually a really fun game. It was it was I wonder how that lawsuit ended up. I did not see an outcome of it yet. Huh.

Speaker 1:

(keyboard clicking) Nintendo lawsuit could see Powell World Re- So Nintendo is still chasing them saying they know what they're doing.

Speaker 3:

change your content or remove it which I don't understand there's no similarities like they're mythical creatures and stuff man that didn't steal direct version. you

Speaker 1:

calls out. Yeah. I mean Microsoft owning Call of Duty now is an interesting change too. I mean, it's not their tip. They had Halo. What other

Speaker 3:

I can't think of really any. good question. The only ones I can think of are the Halo games which...

Speaker 1:

for years. I they've been more into like arcade or simulation style games. I mean,

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm looking at their list right now and there's...

Speaker 3:

There's not really many shooters, I mean...

Speaker 2:

If you want to get technical like.

Speaker 3:

Quake 2's remaster. There's a 007 GoldenEye remaster that I believe is done by Microsoft Studio. starfield was because it's a bethesda game yeah I mean, Starfield... I'm thinking yeah, modern warfare 3 was an Activision game. And that's the thing is I'm not really finding anything directly by the Microsoft game studio or the Xbox game studio.

Speaker 1:

three was bought that wasn't developed by yeah they bought Activision and got the IPs for all those games from my understanding right and I think that's why they're all on game pass now I don't know I called it when I saw they were gonna buy it I was like hopefully we'll never have to buy another call of duty it'll be on game pass yeah they'll be on game pass. I don't know if they're gonna buy it. I don't know.

Speaker 3:

especially if they come out every year. year with a new Call of Duty in the future. change anything. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, that's like the black up six has Omni movement. It's crazy. You can another like funny feature they added is if you instead of running up behind somebody like in the other Call of Duty's you where you would assassinate them using whatever animation you had, you can now like put them in a choke hold and use them as a body shield. like that. that is kind of an odd that for sure the whole Omni movements weird though like you can move 360 to from any position like it is

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's different. It's Call of Duty. Yeah. Change in stuff up every year. Is. Is Black Ops 6 futuristic set or more modern day?

Speaker 1:

um, I don't think it's like Back in the whole jetpack era of what they were trying to do with like futuristic I don't think it's like that I didn't play the beta oh I if I did I think I played one game not because it was bad or anything but I just wasn't wasn't really in the mood to play And the beta was only out for a few days. I figured I'd just wait till it came out. I think it's more in the setting of like what Modern Warfare 3 has been and Modern Warfare 2, still that modern day similar feel. in so that'll be that'll be... Yeah, I haven't really been playing anything. Really at all this week.

Speaker 3:

but haven't gotten into it yet. Yeah, we pretty much... I went through the Steam Next Fest which is basically all the upcoming games and demos and stuff. Oh yeah. And I think I downloaded... That's what I've been doing all days, playing those. nothing real crazy hopped out. at me I did play this one game I don't even remember what it's called the felling timber or something like that survival crafting game but you're a raccoon what yeah it's it's it's it like is gorgeous real low poly oh or is it real high quality high quality the graphics were but the once it called I think it was like the felling to or some it's under the steam next best all but man it's gonna make me mad this movement was so bad that... I can't find it. here in four hours into this.- Right. Uh, other than Delta Force, I would-- The only other one is... I was looking around for other extraction shooters and saw that, decided to download. It's pretty good. I mean... graphics on it were... Phenomenal and I don't even have... ultimate or the ultra settings or whatever it is but just the graphics of And it's an early release, so it's still basically an alpha game. and what style game is it you said it's an extraction shooter so like so more dmz more tarkov uh there's So it's all PvE. Okay. one I was watching you earlier? Yeah. So, is this co-op PvE? Yep. Yeah, I think so. Okay, have up to like four people in a party. I think that's what I saw. Gotcha But it's art the art styles really? Yes, it is so it's it's like post-nuclear West America.

Speaker 1:

I don't think anyone has done that yet. I like seeing the new games.

Speaker 3:

it's I've played maybe.

Speaker 1:

But from what I've played it's pretty good. I watched a video today. We've talked about like the meta glasses and stuff like that before. And VR glasses and someone had a video of the Apple vision goggles, which for the record, those are like over three grand to buy a headset. It's crazy expensive. Microwave in his oven and everything ever seen. And it's all using AI in real time. I was like, that's insane. We're just one step closer to like being in VR all the time.

Speaker 3:

Imagine imagine cuz I know you guys are looking to buy a house Imagine you walk in buy a piece of shit get a real turd and they take you to this house and before you even step in it's Just here put these Apple vision glasses

Speaker 1:

Oh man, we'll do a virtual tour of what your house could look like Well, I mean what I perceive them just building I Mean we already build cooker cookie cutter houses, right? Yeah, basically. Yeah go in these subdivisions. Every single house is practically the same At that point is just gonna be you you buy a house and then you've got to pay several thousand dollars for the skin for your house like Yeah, it's instead of remodeling your house got to buy a new skin for your headset. tied into like Neuralink or something.

Speaker 3:

it'll always be on. I'll live in a cardboard box. Yeah. Who knows, man. It'll be here before we know it. Out of that demo was, it's called I Want to Believe. In this game I tell you it's got potential. it's an action simulation game. You have an open world, freedom of action, you can drive, whatever. But it's got this weird detectiveness to it. And it's based in the US. and it's basically UFOs UFO chasing I guess you could say but okay I played the demo dude I was actually kind of having a have a thing because like it's got that which one's this all. I want to believe well in the the thing about it is Because I said you have that freedom of action. So there's other stuff you can Interesting How neat Like if you watch the trailer it's coming out q4 24 yeah if you watch a trailer I think it's like 140 like he's dumping this toxic waste into a bathtub It's like, what is going on. The ragdoll physics. Oh. what that acid is for.

Speaker 2:

[BLANK_AUDIO]

Speaker 1:

I won't let me skip through. actual trailer that's in Steam. on Steam, do better. Everything else has been updated, update your player. Yeah. Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 3:

into those type of simulations. I throw it on the wish list. Yeah. They're fun. There's a demo for it now. I want to believe demo. 4 gig or 5 gig.

Speaker 1:

Huh. Yeah that MetaQuest skin was crazy. Yeah. I couldn't believe it man. Like there was just- and it remodels everything in your case.

Speaker 3:

Like the hood for your oven, it changes it to whatever makes sense. It was, yeah. And of course they made it look good because it was a, you know, a keynote. I'm sure it's got screw ups just like everything. It's early. really the question is how long until...

Speaker 2:

can put one of those headsets. rims on your car and stuff.

Speaker 1:

see what looks good. Oh I mean Amazon's doing that? What you- If they 3D scanned it, you can pull it up. and put it in your...

Speaker 3:

like at scale yeah that

Speaker 1:

the augmented reality yeah yeah my daughter got some toy I don't I think might have been at the store like walmart or target or something one day but it had a qr code you scan and you it go into augmented reality in this little virtual thing. that she just got a 3D model of it and it was running all over the house and so she was chasing it with her tablet. It was, it made a whole 'nother game for her. with this toy. I was like that was that was really girl. Well worth the money at that point. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

like, what's that do for their imagination? You know, because kids always have the wildest imaginations.

Speaker 1:

She played with it for like that day. touch it again. Oh yeah, typical.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it doesn't go from one thing on to the next right. Oh I did. about the new Corvette ZR1.

Speaker 1:

you

Speaker 3:

It hit a top speed of 233 miles an hour and it is the fastest. by a production vehicle.$1 million. 233? 233 so by protection production

Speaker 1:

Yes, factory. Okay. I mean, I'm just trying to think below a million dollars. That just seems crazy to me that, right. That's the only that is, I mean, 233 miles an hour is fast. I'm trying to say it's not but I feel like there's... other production vehicle out there under a million dollars.

Speaker 3:

you would say how much is a fun how much of the bugatti you have you and Aaron maybe aspirations all right big in the top here for a while there okay what was that with? Oh, a grand tour. Grand tour. Yeah, because they had the, uh, we got a, uh, Sharon on there. Or whatever the fuck it was called. That was a 3.2 million. It was like 200, it was limited to like 272. I think. And they said, Bugatti said that it could go to like 305. I mean I'm looking, the McLaren F1 in 1993 could do...

Speaker 1:

now is available for 500k approximately.

Speaker 3:

Well, but still, and that's the big thing about it. point of the production vehicle is like you have cars like the Ariel Adam I don't know if you've ever seen that one yeah it is literally a full-size go-kart this thing does not have a body it is it is literally a tube frame it's like a I see that, wow. And I think I think the air the normal.

Speaker 2:

turbocharged four cylinder and then they actually ended up coming up with a better engine. They're out with a V8 version of this car. What?

Speaker 3:

He looks like a blast! I'm right, but they're not classified as production vehicles because it's uh coach building. They're... Ordered. They're built to order. Built. Cost.

Speaker 2:

There's for some reason that no

Speaker 3:

as well. Yeah that's their uh like off-road rally style. Yeah. Yeah. The things that looks like it'd be fun to drive. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Adam in Forza that was like where it really.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, full-size go-kart Hmm see any uh see any gun news or anything Aaron? um I've been hearing a lot about this 6mm arc recently. mm arc. Yup, ARC. Oh, ARC. So it's, yeah, well it's 6mm. I was saying it was a that way. I was thinking you're No, no. So it's... supposed to be like. point five Creedmoor. It shoots flatter. It's got a better trajectory. It holds everything better. in competition shooting. Actually. and it's actually started to catch on in just regular. Use. So because my dad had a 243. AR build done and the guys at our local gun store were trying to get him talked into 6mm arc and he was like no I want 243, I want a round that has been a while. and that I know is true.- I said that three times fast. - Yeah, exactly, yeah. (laughs) But I mean, the thing with 243 is you just have so many different options for both. from like a 52 grain or it's, it's. up to like 115 or 117 grain bullet. It just it gives you so many. options. More in the size of like a 5, 5, 6, right? Like as far as... The 243 number is wrong. it's closer to a 308. Oh is it? Yeah so because it's classified, it goes into an AR-10 build. Okay that makes sense then. But I mean you know you never really see a 2 it's an AR-10 so it's a heavy bitch. Right. Right. A lot of people just use them in in hunting rifles. Bringing up a heavy bitch. The FN SCAR. Oh Jesus, fucking FN. You and your fucking SCAR. I want one too. God. It's a rifle. It is a very heavy rifle. It's such a shit rifle. They, uh, I found an out. version which is the most compact scar you can get it's called the FN 15 P. The interesting thing is, they're coming out with a 300 blackout version of this pistol. I think I saw this article a couple weeks ago. It's like, I think it's gonna be priced around three grand, which is crazy. our price but I just thought it was interesting because you could only ever get scars and 557. That was your option. or blackout but I mean that's the... I was catching on so quick now. Oh yeah. Because it just works so well with suppressors. They said that the in the 300 blackout the gas regulator subsonic and supersonic. Yeah, but I mean if you're running a suppressed... When you run supersonics, you're kind of defeating the whole fucking purpose of the suppressor. Right. The whole reason for suppressors to run subsonics. Right. The whole point to keeping it quiet. profile when you're shooting and plus your travels through the fucking air. (laughs) - Right, it's uh, the pistol platform has a seven and a half

Speaker 1:

[BLANK_AUDIO]

Speaker 3:

Jesus, that is so fucking stupid. I can't imagine the kick on that thing though too. have a bus dock well 300 blackout will be the best. I mean the only thing with the 300 blackout is that it's a necked up fire. So it's got a little bit less powder, but it's a fatter round. I still feel like the kicks gonna be a lot dogs. I mean going into your wrist. Oh my my 300 blackout that I have has got like a 9 inch barrel on it and Yeah, and I got a binary. know that's I can go through a 30 round mag of that in about... Oh. Like, three seconds? It's fun. It is very fun. It's just very expensive as well. Yeah.- Dude, is there a reason you don't like FN, or is it just you're impartial to it? just it's basically so. rifles. partial to their rifles. I love their handguns. Like I've got that 45X tactical that I told you about. At the local gun store when he did his live on Facebook. And he showed that and I was like, oh, I'm going in there the next fucking bitch because I've wanted a 45X tactical from FN for so fucking long. I couldn't find one for the longest time. Finally put it up And I was like I'm going in there grabbing that bitch before he's grabbed. Another one that I want from FN pistol-wise is their 5.7. One of my friends actually just bought a 5/7. he drove from in all the way up here to us to buy it from the same local gun shop you're talking about. Okay. and he loves it man. I want one so bad I mean you guys 30 rounds of basically a Five six. Yeah. Like.

Speaker 2:

And I'm pretty sure this the standard foam is...

Speaker 3:

Yeah because they're just going so fucking fast. Yeah. wild caliber. I mean. of... anywhere from like 28 to 3,200 FPS. which is beady boy insane for a pistol yeah because I mean if you look at the a 9 mil that's around like 27 to 20. Unless you're shooting hot loads then you got like... You might be pushing three on a 9mm. And then 45. from 1100 to 1700 feet per second. Slow, hard hit and round. 1911. I love my[BLANK_AUDIO] me. God, you should-(laughter) I carry a nine. -Yeah, yeah yeah. That's 'cause you a bitch. well until the winter comes around and then obviously it's a little easier to conceal a 45 full size or some shit. Go ahead. Why do you dislike their rifles? What's the reason? So the main reason is So they're gas blocks and well the gas blocks hang They're very prone to getting... Oh, alright. From everything that I've... researched about it. You know, don't get me wrong. They Yeah, they look they look tactical. I guess I should say because that's what it is. That's what it is every you know buy a gun you want to look cool when you buy it. But... is that when it comes to reliability they're just a little bit under performing for me. Gotcha that makes sense. I know the FN. their AR platform. I've heard good things about it. think it is. They're just so goddamn pricey compared to... platform. Oh, and that's the thing. If you want to. brand name, your big brand name. our platform, you're going to be spending some money. That's just like I bought, or I paid for, I still don't fucking have it yet. I paid for a Sig MCX Spear, still haven't and that's been over, well it's probably, it's getting close to... now that I paid for this. I hate that. Yeah, it's been, I went in there... yesterday to certify for one of my suppressors and I asked I said, "What the fuck is wrong with this shit?" And he was like, "I'ma get on it because I know that you've been waiting." little bit so I'm gonna call my dealer. that I get the next one for you. I was like, I fucking better man. (laughing) - So what is it, do they just not expect a high amount of purchases? is that. since it's so close to election is that there is a lot of pressure on the people that vote. Getting shit in. Not. Yeah. That, I mean, that could be complete horse shit, I don't know. Like I said, that's just my suspicion. That's always the worst when you... and they're waiting, and waiting, and waiting. in the meantime. Yep. And that one can... or so. That was what I just had to certify on Friday. And that was one of his that was one of his it up on the wall and I'd been eyeing it for a little while and I was like, "uhh, how much you want for that?" He told me a price, and I was like, "yep, I'm gonna buy it."(both laughing)(music) saw it but it was the... AR pistol that he has. on the wall behind the counter? Nah, I haven't been up there in a minute.[BLANK_AUDIO] Normally I do but... from me. Oh, okay. Well, he had... of it. But it's... driven AR pistol. Had a suppressor on it. You know how to do the fuckin whole- stamp stuff. Yeah. Like I said, the actual name of it but I fucking saw it and I was like...(laughing) So it's themed for the the come and take it flag ah actually heats up on one side. It'll say fuck the ATF And then he told me what the other side will say but I can't quite remember it right now on what the other side will say'cause all I know is that... the ATF once the suppressor heats up. That heat pain. It's wicked. It's phenomenal. And that's like... Well, okay, so. suppressor that I bought. and then cerakote that way it matches the spear. Gotcha. You want to match that FD? And then I'm probably going to have him do a camouflage cerakote on the whole thing. Oh nice. Cause I mean, why would you have just one color? And they're FDEs. Bronze - it is it's yes. It's a little regular FTE than what you would expect. But I mean that's...
